Why is my sale taking so long to complete? 

I must get asked this question every day by frustrated vendors and purchasers. The truth on this matter is that completions can still happen quickly and in some circumstances do, but there is no rhyme and reason as to why we are facing lengthy delays in the current market for completions. 

Based on a recent survey by NAEA currently completion times are at least 150 days. 

This became a real issue around the time of COVD as many Solicitors worked from home and staff were released and its fair to say that Solicitors are overwhelmed and under staffed now and this is the main reason for the delays we are facing. Added to that the strain on Government Office workloads and continuous threats of strikes across different departments also don’t help the matter. So, what can you do to minimise delays on your completion?
